ObjectiveTo have Ramlila performances end by 9 pm for public safety.

In September 2017 the clubs of Kanchanpur — including the Leo Club of Mahakali Classic — submitted a memorandum to the Chief District Officer asking that the Ramlila festival in Mahendranagar close by 9 pm. Dheeraj wrote that late-night performances could let criminal activity grow and had already brought social problems, and warned that the clubs would escalate if the administration allowed the programme to run late.

The next day, Manaskhand daily reported the demand on its front page: “महेन्द्रनगरमा रामलिला हुने समय परिवर्तन गर्न माग”.
